If a rose is burned does it still smell just as sweet

Does it still show it's beauty , even burned deep

If a rose is damaged does it still flourish , does it still glow

Does it still embrace that which should make it grow

If a rose is a rose then why does it need to suffer and die

Does it no longer make the heart flutter and the soul to cry

If a women is a rose , does she still embrace that what broke her heart

Does she still cling to , does her heart still flutter , now that they are apart

If a rose is a rose
