From never knowing why you were the road i needed to meet
There depart where again traces left behind now wash away
Lost as tender words the mind wanders drifting thoughts stray
As the days slip away the wind once more brings in the rain
For as the sun fell there once again in cold winds hearts ache
Into storms i shielded what burned from an ending ever to keep
There you simply fade away to live knowing the way it once was
Behind these walls taller stand to shield as memory ever calling
Till rain no longer comes as once more these hearts grow cold
There I find you when darkness once more finds hearts of old
